Avan Guardian is a close, mature community of friends who have been playing together since the beginning of Final Fantasy XIV back in 2010. We are dedicated to exploring the content and doing our best to assist all those who wish to actively participate in experiencing what the game has to offer.

We cover a wide range of people with many different playstyles, so there's a good chance you'll find what you're looking for.

End Game:
We have a few end game raid groups working on progressing through the most challenging content the game has to offer. We have a mumble server to facilitate smoother communication. If you're looking to do top level raids, we can help you find a group to do them with.

Casual Activities:
Well "casual" is a bit subjective, but we have members highly active in non-raiding content as well. We have a few dedicated crafters who can give you advice on your rotation or help you get that piece of gear you've already wanted for glamour. We also have members who just love to grind things, like every single relic weapon. With our experienced and diverse roster we can offer help and advice on just about any aspect of the game you're interested in.

A Community
Most importantly of all, we're a community of friends. We're here to have fun playing the game together, regardless of the content. Of course, there will be tense moments, but we're looking for members who want to have fun playing the game and approach the content in a mature way. We expect everyone to respect not just one another, but all our fellow players on Masamune.

We understand the importance of real life and try to structure events so that all members may have the chance to attend regardless of their schedule. We currently have members from all over the world ranging from USA, Europe, Middle East, Australia, Singapore and Japan. A large portion of our member base is located in the GMT +8 time zone (late night Australia, Singapore/Japan evening, USA morning early birds, Europe afternoon, etc). Although most of our events do fall within the weekday evening of this time zone, we do not restrict applicants from other time zones from applying if they think they’ll be able to attend our events.
